Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab travel position in Carlsbad, NM, requiring 2+ years of cath lab experience and the ability to circulate and monitor a full range of cardiac procedures.
Details
- Day shift position, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, in a hospital Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- Patient ratio is 1:1
- Performs and assists with left heart catheterizations (LHC), right heart catheterizations (RHC), TEEs, cardioversions, peripheral procedures, and other cardiac interventions
- Call is required with a minimum of 15 call days per contract
- Floating required, typically as a sitter when needed
- Holiday coverage is required
- EMR systems used: Xper, MedHost, and PACS
- 13-week contract with preference for candidates open to extension
Requirements
- Active NM RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the start date)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience required
- Must be proficient in circulating and monitoring for LHC, RHC, TEEs, cardioversions, peripheral procedures, and other cardiac cases
- Fingerprinting is required for all candidates working in New Mexico
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include circulating cases, administering and preparing medications, managing moderate sedation, and cleaning and stocking the lab
- Scrub color: any
- RTO requests must be less than one week in duration; no holidays will be approved for RTO
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
