Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position in Golden, CO, requiring both pre-op and PACU competency with on-call availability on weeknights and weekends.

Details

• Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in a hospital setting
• Must be proficient in both pre-op and PACU nursing functions
• Evening shift, rotating 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (40 hours/week)
• Weeknight and weekend on-call required
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• Charting via Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required (no pending licenses)
• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required
• Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, and PALS — all must not expire prior to start date
• Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
• Epic EMR experience
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for post-anesthesia patients
• Performs health teaching, counseling, and executes delegated medical functions
• Refers patients as needed and monitors therapy and treatment plans
• Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Former permanent Intermountain employees must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
