Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week contract requiring ACLS, BLS, and RCIS certifications.

Details

• Hospital-based cardiac cath lab setting in Jersey City, NJ
• Procedures include Left and Right Heart Catheterization (diagnostic and interventional), Pericardiocentesis, CardioMEMS, Impella and IABP insertion, TAVR, MitraClip, PFO closure, AICD and PPM placement, EP studies, ablation, and LAAC
• Neuro procedures include cerebral and carotid angiography, angioplasty, stenting, embolization, thrombolysis, and thrombectomy
• Charting performed in Epic
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Call required along with every third weekend
• 13-week contract, 40 hours per week

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of cath lab experience required; 2 years preferred
• Active ACLS, BLS, and RCIS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active NJ or Compact license required if applicable
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required for consideration
• First-time travelers will not be considered

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Candidates who have worked for RWJBH (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Holiday coverage is required for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays per unit requirements; all RTO requests should be communicated upfront
• Housing note: Due to the World Cup games in NJ, suggested housing areas include Staten Island, Montclair, West Orange, and Belleville
