Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience, including open heart recovery and advanced mechanical circulatory support device experience.

Details

• Hospital-based CVICU setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Floating within a health system of up to 5 hospitals required, based on unit needs
• Charting is performed in Epic
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Open heart recovery experience (directly from the OR) required
• Experience with balloon pumps, LVADs, Impellas, and ECMO required
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Must pass a Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of contract signing; only 2 attempts are allowed and the test must be completed on a PC (not an iOS device) — failure to complete or two failed attempts will result in contract cancellation
• Two professional references required for consideration
• A skills checklist specific to the CVICU unit is required for consideration
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will receive a reduced local rate
• First-time travelers are accepted but not preferred
• All RTO (time off) requests must be submitted at the time of application; RTO requests submitted after will not be accepted
