Description
American Traveler is seeking a Chemo Certified Oncology RN for an outpatient infusion center position in Lacey, WA, requiring ONS/ONCC certification and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Outpatient infusion center setting serving primarily oncology/hematology patients (85%) and non-oncology infusion patients including rheumatology, GI, neurology, and pulmonology (15%)
- Patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and hematology infusions, as well as non-oncology specialty infusions
- 5x8 day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (start times may vary between 7:15–7:45 AM; end time varies based on last patient)
- No weekend or holiday shifts required
- Floating between all facilities within the state of Washington is expected
- EMR: Epic (required)
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- OCN certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Infusion center or outpatient oncology experience required; inpatient oncology experience may be considered
- IM and subcutaneous injection experience required
- Therapeutic phlebotomy experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and specialty infusions to oncology, hematology, and non-oncology patient populations
- Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in termination of the assignment
- Former permanent employees of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the submitting facility
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
- Previous employment at any Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) must be disclosed, including location and dates worked
