Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with NICU experience for a 13-week night shift travel contract at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in South Carolina.

Details

• NICU unit at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital with 865 staffed beds
• Pediatric, neonatal, and infant patient population
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• Floating within scope may be required depending on experience; no floating to sister facilities
• No on-call required
• Charting: Epic (experience preferred)
• Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
• Parking pass available for a one-time $20 fee (nights and weekends only)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience with pediatric, neonatal, and infant populations
• CRT certification required
• Active certifications required: BLS, PALS, and NRP (AHA certifications only)
• SC Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license required; license must be in hand at time of start
• License required if applicable
• NBRC certification accepted
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
• Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
• Travelers should be aware that this facility is located in a hurricane-prone region; during hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams, with peak activity in August and September
