Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Longview, TX, requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital-based Emergency Care Center (ECC)
• Night shift schedule: 8PM–8AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required; current role must be in an ED setting (e.g., freestanding ER, ER code, ER urgent care)
• BSN preferred
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• New hire orientation required within the first 30 days, including organizational and ED-specific competency validation with a designated preceptor
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted unless the position explicitly states otherwise
