Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a NICU position at a Level IV children's hospital in Ohio, requiring at least 2 years of Level III/IV NICU experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week travel contract
• NICU unit within a large pediatric hospital setting
• Includes a BPD (bronchopulmonary dysplasia) NICU with an average patient length of stay of 2–3 years
• Frequent trach care and heavy parent/family involvement expected in BPD NICU
• Float requirement to multiple units including PICU, CV PICU, stepdown, MS, and rarely the ED
• Float requirement to other campuses, including OH Health Riverside, Mount Carmel St. Ann's, OH Health Grant Medical, OH Health Dublin Methodist, and OH Health Doctors Hospital

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and NRP
• Minimum 1 year of Level IV NICU experience required
• Minimum 2 years of total Level III/IV NICU experience required
• Comfort with frequent trach care required
• 2 professional references required for consideration, with at least one being a manager or supervisor (charge nurse references not accepted)
• Must have previously worked at the facility no less than 2 years ago to be eligible

Additional Information

• Local candidates are not accepted for this RN position
• Two-part interview process: an initial screening with the Float Pool Leader within 24–48 hours, followed by a potential second interview with the NICU unit manager
• Floating to multiple units and campuses is a firm requirement and a point of emphasis at this facility
• Attendance is taken very seriously — no call/no shows may result in disciplinary action up to termination
