Description

American Traveler is hiring an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience, active ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification, and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Details

  • Cardiac Cath Lab setting at an acute care hospital
  • Provides technical support during invasive cardiovascular and radiological imaging procedures
  • 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with a rotating day off
  • On-call required on both weekdays and weekends
  • Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab required; 2 years preferred
  • One of the following certifications required: ARRT-R, ARRT-CV, ARRT-VI, CCI-RCIS, or CCI-RCES
  • Fluoroscopy Operator Registration required for candidates holding RCIS or RCES designation (not required for ARRT-certified candidates)
  • BLS (AHA) required
  • ACLS (AHA) required; must not expire prior to start date
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
  • Active license required if applicable
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Assists physicians during cardiac and vascular procedures, acting as scrub assistant while maintaining sterile conditions
  • Operates imaging equipment and monitors, documents procedure images and events from the control room
  • Provides patient care under RN supervision and educates patients and families on pre- and post-procedure expectations
  • Maintains appropriate stock levels for complex interventional and diagnostic procedures and completes all required documentation
  • Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
