Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel contract requiring MICU experience, Level 1 trauma background, and an NC or Compact RN license in hand.

Details

  • Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) setting within a hospital environment
  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • Patient ratio of 1:2
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Approximately 6 weekend shifts per 8-week schedule, subject to staffing needs
  • Floating required to adult inpatient areas based on census and staffing
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand
  • Required certifications in hand at time of consideration: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS; CPI certification required (can be completed onsite if not already in hand)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred
  • MICU experience required
  • Level 1 trauma experience required
  • One supervisory professional reference from within the past year required
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are subject to a different pay rate
  • Flu vaccine is required between October 31 and March 31 with no exemptions accepted
  • Orientation sessions are held bi-weekly
  • Royal blue scrubs required
