Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) travel position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and Level 1 trauma background, working nights on a 13-week contract.

Details

• Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) setting within a hospital environment
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Approximately 6 weekend shifts per 8-week schedule, subject to adjustment based on staffing needs
• Floating required per census and staffing needs; float to adult inpatient areas
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS; CPI can be completed onsite if not already in hand
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• MICU experience is required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are accepted but at a reduced pay rate
• Flu vaccine is required from October 31 through March 31 with no exemptions accepted
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Orientations are held bi-weekly
