Description
American Traveler is seeking a CCC-SLP with LTC or SNF experience for a 13-week travel contract at a skilled nursing facility in Mound City, MO.
Details
- Skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care (LTC) setting in Mound City, MO
- Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts with flexible start times between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM, to be kept consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation
- No weekend requirements unless a holiday falls within the Monday–Friday workweek, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend
- No on-call requirements
- 35 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CCC-SLP certification required
- Active Missouri state SLP license required (compact license may be accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required; new graduates with Level II clinical experience (not solely Level I observation) will be considered
- LTC or SNF setting experience required
- 3 years of experience holding an active CCC preferred
- Adherence to ASHA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Screens, evaluates, and rehabilitates patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders and develops appropriate plans of care per regulatory and clinical standards
- Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions
- Monitors and adjusts treatment plans based on patient progress, and makes referrals as appropriate based on treatment outcomes
- Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding speech disorders
- Documents all required clinical information in the electronic documentation system and accurately records treatment minutes per regulatory requirements
- Participates in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, and other required meetings
- May supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates or student SLPs
- No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
