Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a float pool position requiring a CA RN license, BSN, and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience with rotating day/night shifts.

Details

  • Float pool position covering all TCUs, ICUs, ED, and PACU across UCSF facilities — this is not a unit-based assignment
  • 12-hour rotating day and night shifts (days: 7:00–19:30; nights: 19:00–7:30)
  • Shift assignment rotates on a 4-week schedule cycle and may alternate between day and night shifts based on need
  • Patients requiring advanced cardiac and critical care support, including ECMO, IABP, Impella, LVAD, CRRT, and PA Catheters

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • BSN required
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • Experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella, LVAD, CRRT, and PA Catheters strongly preferred
  • 2.5+ years of ICU experience preferred
  • NIHSS certification preferred
  • Completed professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Float coverage spans all TCUs, ICUs, ED, and PACU at multiple UCSF facilities
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of offer — RTO requests made after the contract is signed will not be accommodated
