Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience, an active DC RN license, and NRP and AWHONN certifications.

Details

  • Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
  • Patient population includes females of childbearing age, pregnant patients at 17+ weeks gestation, laboring patients, scheduled procedures (C-sections, external cephalic versions), and triage cases
  • Unit activity includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and vaginal and C-section deliveries
  • Common equipment includes fetal monitors; documentation via Cerner and Fetalink
  • Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts per week (36 hours/week)
  • On-call requirement of one shift per week
  • 9-week contract

Requirements

  • Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses)
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS (AHA-issued only), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring
  • Minimum 2 years of L&D experience in a U.S. hospital required
  • LDRP experience and labor with postpartum (PP) experience preferred
  • Valid U.S. SSN required
  • Two supervisor or manager references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • Date of birth required for consideration
  • CPI certification is mandated for this position
