Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) night shift travel contract at a cardiovascular-focused hospital, with cardiovascular experience required and first-time travelers welcome.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located within a dedicated Heart Hospital
• Cardiovascular patient population with 55 beds on the unit
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
• Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekend requirement on a rotating, as-needed basis
• Floating is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) also required; CPI preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• Cardiovascular nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Up to 3 days of RTO may be approved; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Scrubs of any solid color are acceptable; no logos permitted
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
