Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital, requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active Epic proficiency.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital with 733 staffed beds, operating as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching facility
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5-6
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister campus
- No on-call requirements
- Charting system: Epic (experience required)
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses not accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position
- Previous employees must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Night shift travelers may extend contracts up to twice before being required to be away for a minimum of 6 months prior to returning
- RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general maximum of 4 days per contract
- Only 1 holiday off may be approved per contract
- Pre-start orientation modules required (approximately 4–10 hours)
- Royal blue and white scrubs required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
