Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with ICU experience for a day shift position requiring every other weekend availability at a large academic health system in Indiana.

Details

• Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• Every other weekend is required
• 13-week contract
• Position is within an RRT/Neuro Diagnostics unit
• Charting is performed in Cerner (experience required)
• Floating is required between multiple affiliated hospital campuses

Requirements

• Active Indiana or Compact respiratory therapy license (license required if applicable)
• Current RRT credential from the NBRC
• Current AHA or RQI certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Minimum 18 months of recent ICU experience (2 years total RT experience preferred)
• Education must be accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA
• 2 supervisor references required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Indiana residents are considered local candidates; local candidates are accepted for Allied positions
• Candidates must be willing to confirm comfort with the every other weekend requirement prior to submission
• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be approved
• Former permanent or PRN employees of the facility must have a 12-month gap before working as a traveler
• Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within the IU Health system are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility — 90 days for out-of-state residents and 180 days for in-state residents
