Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with OR and fluoroscopy experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care teaching hospital.
Details
- Works in an acute care teaching hospital that is a Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated, and a certified stroke center with over 700 licensed beds
- Settings include adult acute care, outpatient, bedside/portable, ER, ICU, OR, Peds, and PICU
- Patient population spans neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Procedures include fluoroscopy, full range of abdominal, upper and lower extremity, head, chest, spine, and pelvis imaging
- 3x12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- On-call rotation shared with staff
- Must be available to work one holiday per 13-week contract on a rotating basis with staff
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of X-Ray Technologist experience with demonstrated OR and fluoroscopy skills
- Current BLS and ARRT(R) certification required
- Virginia state license required; any active state license in hand is accepted, as Virginia will grant emergency authorization to travelers while their permanent VA license processes — license required if applicable
- Experience performing fluoroscopy and a broad range of radiographic exams across abdomen, extremities, chest, head, and spine/pelvis
- Experience in acute care settings including OR, ER, ICU, PICU, and bedside/portable imaging
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Must live outside the facility's radius requirement to be eligible; contact your recruiter for specific criteria
- PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures across multiple care settings including OR, ER, ICU, PICU, and outpatient
- Participates in an on-call rotation shared with permanent staff
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application
