Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position on the White 8 Medical Unit, requiring an active MA RN license and a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Details

• Work in an acute care hospital setting on the White 8 Medical Unit (Med/Surg)
• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:00 (7p–7a)
• 36 hours per week, straight nights
• 13-week contract
• EMR: Epic (charting system used on unit)

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• BLS certification required (AHA only — Red Cross not accepted for this location)
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Active MA licensure must be on file at time of consideration — no exceptions
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, clinical decision-making, medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and coordination with the interdisciplinary care team
• Candidates are expected to modify patient treatment plans in response to patient condition changes
• Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to screen and triage acute patients is essential
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible but will receive a reduced pay rate
• No validated parking is available at this Boston location; public transportation is recommended, and public parking ranges from $17–$22 per day
• Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
