Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Michigan City, IN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and active IN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in a 23-bed Emergency Department treating patients ranging from newborns to adults
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Equipment includes Level 1, Sonosite, and Bear Hugger
• EMR is Epic
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (3x12s)
• Every 3rd weekend required, covering both Saturday and Sunday
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number (SSN) required

Additional Information

• ENPC and TNCC certifications are preferred
• EKG testing is required as part of the hiring process; candidates are allowed 2 attempts, and if unsuccessful, may reapply to Franciscan positions after 30 days
• Navy scrubs required
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply at a reduced rate
