Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring telemetry experience, Epic proficiency, and an active OH or compact RN license.

• Position is in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at an academic medical center in Ohio
• Care involves telemetry patient monitoring
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry patient monitoring experience required
• Must be able to pass a telemetry test
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in IV starts, medication administration, patient monitoring, lab interpretation, and patient education
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of this facility are eligible after a separation period of 6 months or more
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and will be built into the contract, limited to 7 days or fewer
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting the position — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
