Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and at least 2 previously completed travel assignments in the specialty.
Details
- 13-week travel contract in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit (Women's Pavilion)
- Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- On-call required: 2 x 12-hour call shifts per every 6 weeks, with at least one being a weekend shift
- Floating required between departments within the Women's Pavilion
- Patient ratio: 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity
- 13-bed unit
- EMR: CPN (GE) and Cerner; Cerner experience preferred
- Block scheduling may be accommodated provided weekend shift requirements are met
Requirements
- Active GA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Must be able to pass an EKG
- 2+ years of recent L&D experience required
- Minimum of 2 previously completed travel assignments in L&D required
- CPN experience preferred
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- No previous permanent employment at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
- A valid driver's license is required for consideration
Additional Information
- Scope of practice includes monitoring and supporting laboring patients, circulating for vaginal deliveries, OR circulating for cesarean sections (preferred), attending deliveries to support newborn resuscitation, recovering vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and providing antepartum care in L&D
- Triage responsibilities for patients 20 weeks gestation and above
- RN holds shift accountability across antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care
- Scrub color: navy blue
- All certifications must remain active through at least the first 30 days of the assignment
- RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
- This position is auto-offer; no interviews required
