Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) position requiring a strong cardiac background, prior travel experience, and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Heavy cardiac and CVA (stroke) patient population
• Requires ability to manage cardiac drips including heparin and nitroglycerin
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00) or 4x10-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or a compact RN license recognized in Texas
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or relevant nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong cardiac background required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to or at the time of offer acceptance — no exceptions
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Facility conducts its own drug screening upon arrival, including for marijuana — a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid all substances that could cause a positive result, including CBD products
