Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (SICU) position requiring a PA or Compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of SICU experience, with night shift availability.
Details
- Work in the Surgical ICU (SICU) of a Level 1 Trauma hospital
- Patient population includes neurosurgery, vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, orthopedic interventions, liver transplants, and Level 1 trauma cases such as MVAs, falls, gunshot wounds, and open abdomens
- Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every 3rd weekend requirement
- Floating required when census is low on the unit
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active PA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- TNCC certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of SICU experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copies of certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted; candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a rate differential
- RTO (time off) requests must be submitted at time of application
