Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a mid-shift travel position requiring an active AL or compact RN license and at least 2 years of recent emergency department experience.

Details

• Work in a 54-bed, state-designated Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center Emergency Department
• Treats more than 60,000 patients per year across all age groups
• Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for other patients
• 13-week assignment on mid shift, 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
• Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as assigned
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals within the health system
• Uses Meditech EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license, State of Alabama or Compact (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Associate degree in nursing required
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale or Red Cross equivalent
• TNCC certification required
• 2 years of experience required, though 18 months may be considered if working under the highest level of professional license
• 2 years of recent experience in emergency department specialty required
• NURSYS verification required
• No prior licensure issues, past or current, permitted

• Solid navy scrub color required per facility dress code
