Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1+ year of experience for a day shift travel assignment at an acute care Level III Trauma Center in Washington, MO.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with comprehensive medical, surgical, obstetric, and pediatric services
- Respiratory Therapy department
- Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Weekend hours as needed
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required as needed
- EMR: Epic
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory care, emergency care, and intensive care
- Current RCP license in the state of practice (license required if applicable)
- Active certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
- Strong knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation
- Experience with respiratory equipment including therapeutic gas administration apparatus and mechanical ventilators
- Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
- No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include setting up and operating therapeutic gas administration apparatus and mechanical ventilators
- Provides emergency care such as external cardiac massage, artificial respiration, and assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Maintains charts containing patient identification and therapy information
- The facility is designated as the only Level III Trauma Center between St. Louis and Jefferson City, as well as a Level II Stroke Center and Level II STEMI Center
- Basic nursery experience is a plus
- Black scrubs required
- Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but are subject to a reduced bill rate
- Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a separation period or facility change is required
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documentation of a scheduled renewal is provided
