Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel Emergency Department position in Ohio, requiring 2+ years of ER experience and active OH or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Emergency Department (ER) unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Patient population includes trauma, psychiatric holds, pediatric emergencies, and STEMI and stroke cases
• Average patient ratio of 1:3.5
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM)
• Every other or every third weekend required
• Floating required
• Epic EMR used for documentation
• Pyxis medication dispensing system in use
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI
• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience
• Proficiency in triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, ventilated patients, trauma, psych holds, and pediatric emergency care
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); Charge RN acceptable as 2nd reference; no coworker references accepted
• Ohio state fingerprinting required — must be completed promptly after accepting an offer

Additional Information

• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center or at a stroke-certified and STEMI-certified facility is preferred
• 36-hour orientation provided
• Navy scrubs required
• Multiple paid parking options are available on campus for agency staff, ranging from budget surface lot access with shuttle service to a full-access medical center garage permit
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of this facility are eligible after a minimum 6-month separation
• RTO must be requested upfront and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract
