Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool ICU position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and proficiency with Epic across multiple ICU settings.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool position within a large academic medical center in Ohio
• Float coverage spans multiple ICU units including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU (x2), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU
• Floating is required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30), weekends plus 1 weekday shift per week
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Parking options are available for purchase on-site through the hospital's parking system, ranging from budget shuttle-based options to guaranteed garage access

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Proficiency with Epic required
• IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management experience required
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the 2nd reference; coworker references are not accepted

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Former employees of the facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after accepting an offer — candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to a fingerprinting location or will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to complete urgently
