Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery/Postpartum RN for a night shift, every-other-weekend rotation requiring an active MA RN license and 3+ years of L&D experience.

Details

• Work in a 25-bed Labor & Delivery Unit encompassing L&D, PP, NBN, 2 ORs, 2 RRs, and 2 ANU rooms
• Unit includes 5 LD rooms, 12 PP beds, 2 ORs, 2 RRs, and 2 ANU rooms with 4 beds
• Average daily census of 15-25 mothers, babies, and laboring patients
• Patient ratios: L&D 1:2-3 for evals, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium drip, or epidural patients; PP 1:3-4
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• Primarily a night shift position with every-other-weekend requirement
• Position may require rotation to days and evenings as needed
• No floating required
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Current NRP certification required
• Current EFM certification required, renewed every 2 years for L&D
• AHA ACLS certification preferred
• Skilled in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, circulating, and newborn care
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursery services
• Perform circulating duties as needed within the unit
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility in Boston
• Uses UKG/Kronos for timekeeping
