Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and an active NC or Compact RN license in hand.
Details
- Hospital-based Endoscopy unit
- Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM)
- Every other weekend required
- On-call is required, averaging 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month
- 13-week contract
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license — NC or Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required and must be in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of GI/Endoscopy RN experience preferred; candidates with less experience may be considered
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- 1 supervisory professional reference from within the last year required
- Full SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
Additional Information
- Orientations are held bi-weekly
- Flu vaccine is required between October 31 and March 31 with no exemptions accepted
- Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible to apply at a reduced rate
- Candidates residing beyond 75 miles are eligible for the standard travel pay rate

Unnecessarily strict policies when sick/injured; doctor notes are not accepted as an “excuse”, micromanagement, unprofessional leadership, bullying, favoritism and unfairness, not willing to train certain people in certain areas or approve certain people’s requests off , heavy workload and constantly being rushed, micromanaged, and distracted by gossip/drama while having to pay attention to detail, not willing to repair/replace certain functions.
