Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring a CA RN license and at least 3 years of nursing experience with specialization in general, ortho, vascular, trauma, and neuro cases.

• Operating Room (OR) setting within a hospital environment
• Surgical specialties include general, orthopedic, vascular, trauma, and neuro cases
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• On-call required on an as-needed basis
• Every other weekend rotation required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Ability to scrub and/or circulate OR cases
• Ability to work with bodily fluids and substances
• Ability to make fine discriminations in sound
• Ability to handle emergency and crisis situations
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Plans, manages, and coordinates professional nursing care for surgical patients in the scrub and/or circulator role
• Directs and supervises ancillary nursing personnel and collaborates with the full surgical team
• Maintains AORN standards of professional nursing practice
• Subject to varying and unpredictable situations; classified as OSHA Risk Category I (High Risk)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates
• Former employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved during the contract
