Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 42-bed unit specializing in complex patients with multiple co-morbidities, requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• Work on a 42-bed telemetry unit (5H) within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes complex patients with multiple co-morbidities, palliative care, colorectal surgery patients on progressive ERAS protocols, MDRO patients, and a low-acuity pediatric population in 8 designated beds
• Patients are frequently transferred from the ICU, ED, and PACU
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts (7a–7p), 36 hours per week
• Requires 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Date of birth (MM/DD) and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, patient and family education, discharge coordination, and quality improvement activities
• Delegates tasks appropriately and oversees team members in the performance of patient care activities
• Collaborates with an inter-professional care team including Case Management
