Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Details

  • Works in a hospital Emergency Department setting
  • Night shift schedule: 7p-7a, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provides nursing care to a variety of ED patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
  • Responsibilities include monitoring physiological data, administering medications, initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products, assisting physicians with examinations and minor procedures, and delegating tasks to support staff
  • Communicates care plans and discharge instructions to patients and families
  • Previous workers at this health system may return after a 6-month separation period following a maximum of 26 weeks (one extension) of prior service
  • BSN is preferred but not required
