Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a 13-week night shift contract at an acute care facility, requiring 2+ years of experience and proficiency with C-arm and fluoroscopy procedures.

Details

• Acute care hospital radiology department with 5 imaging rooms
• Imaging studies include X-ray, OR C-arm, and fluoroscopy
• Department uses Toshiba rad rooms, Carestream portables, and OEC C-arms
• EMR/PACS: Epic and Fuji Synapse
• Average of 400 scans/studies per day
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• No floating to other areas within the facility
• Radiologist residents are in-house 24/7
• IV starts are not required for this position

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience
• Current ARRT certification and BLS required
• WV State License required if applicable
• Proficiency with C-arm and fluoroscopy required
• Experience with X-ray, OR imaging, and fluoroscopy studies required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration — address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
• Two professional references required: one supervisor reference and one peer or additional supervisor reference
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
• Copies of certifications and driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform X-ray, OR C-arm, and fluoroscopy studies in a high-volume radiology department
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Department-specific orientation is provided
• A radiation dosimetry badge must be provided by your staffing agency — the facility does not supply one
• Candidates who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being considered
• Travelers are not permitted to work within the WVU system for longer than one cumulative year; after reaching that mark, a 2-year break is required before returning
• All interviews are conducted directly with the unit manager
