Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a 13-week night shift contract at an acute care facility, requiring 2+ years of experience and proficiency with C-arm and fluoroscopy procedures.
Details
- Acute care hospital radiology department with 5 imaging rooms
- Imaging studies include X-ray, OR C-arm, and fluoroscopy
- Department uses Toshiba rad rooms, Carestream portables, and OEC C-arms
- EMR/PACS: Epic and Fuji Synapse
- Average of 400 scans/studies per day
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
- No floating to other areas within the facility
- Radiologist residents are in-house 24/7
- IV starts are not required for this position
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience
- Current ARRT certification and BLS required
- WV State License required if applicable
- Proficiency with C-arm and fluoroscopy required
- Experience with X-ray, OR imaging, and fluoroscopy studies required
- Valid driver's license required for consideration — address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
- Two professional references required: one supervisor reference and one peer or additional supervisor reference
- Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
- Copies of certifications and driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform X-ray, OR C-arm, and fluoroscopy studies in a high-volume radiology department
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Department-specific orientation is provided
- A radiation dosimetry badge must be provided by your staffing agency — the facility does not supply one
- Candidates who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being considered
- Travelers are not permitted to work within the WVU system for longer than one cumulative year; after reaching that mark, a 2-year break is required before returning
- All interviews are conducted directly with the unit manager
