Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring NRP skills and proficiency in vaginal and C-section deliveries.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes laboring patients, vaginal deliveries, C-section deliveries, and postpartum care
• Performs vaginal exams, assists with vaginal deliveries, and circulates in C-section deliveries
• Responsible for IV starts, blood draws, and newborn stabilization post-delivery
• Recognizes and responds to complications such as postpartum hemorrhage and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Day shift may also be considered: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania (PA) RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Proficiency in IV insertion and blood draws
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, including vaginal deliveries and C-section circulating
• Ability to recognize and manage obstetric complications such as postpartum hemorrhage and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
