Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience and Epic proficiency, with night shift availability at a Level I Trauma facility.
Details
- ICU unit within a hospital setting, operating as a 36-bed unit
- Telemetry, drips, and ventilator patient population with a targeted 1:2 patient ratio
- Experience with A-Lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and ABG draws required in this role
- Epic EMR is used and experience is required
- Night shift schedule (7p–7:30a), 3x12-hour shifts per week; 36- or 48-hour weekly contract options available
- Travelers are first to float at the system's discretion, within specialty clusters; floating may include assignments to medically appropriate units or supporting the nursing care team of the floated unit
- For assignments at this campus, floating may include the main campus (Dayton), south campus (Centerville, under 10 miles), or north campus (Englewood, under 15 miles)
- Every other weekend and holiday availability required
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or compact RN license required (not required to be in hand at signing)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience required
- Ability to read and interpret EKG/telemetry strips required; must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment prior to starting
- Experience with A-Lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Travel nursing experience preferred
Additional Information
- Navy blue scrubs are required
- RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no RTO will be added after an offer is made, and approval is at the manager's discretion
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- 13-week contract
