Description

American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 1 year of experience and ARDMS certification for a 13-week travel contract at a community hospital in New York.

Details

• Community hospital setting in Massena, NY
• General ultrasound unit performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures
• Patient population ranges from pediatric to adult
• Common procedures include OB, abdominal, DVT, carotids, breast ultrasound, thoracentesis, and paracentesis
• Outpatient work setting experience required
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Call required every 3rd day after 6:00 PM and every 3rd weekend

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound/sonography experience
• Current ARDMS certification and BLS required
• NY state license required (must be in hand)
• Community hospital experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform general diagnostic ultrasound imaging including OB, abdominal, DVT, carotid, and breast studies, as well as invasive procedures such as thoracentesis and paracentesis
• Experience with biopsies is preferred
• Preferred certifications include ARRT (Sonography), RDMS (AB, OB, BR, Peds), and RVT
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Two professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
