Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and TNCC certification.

Details

• Emergency Department unit with 14 beds and a staff of 48
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Shift hours are 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
• EMR system: Meditech
• Typical procedures include central line insertion, chest tube placement, thoracic lavage, and intubations
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active KS RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, and CPI (or accepted equivalent: SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience
• Minimum 1 year of recent ED-specific experience
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• All certifications must remain valid through at least the first 30 days of the assignment

Additional Information

• Preferred skills include ENPC certification and intraosseous (IO) training
• Ideal candidates are independent, self-motivated, and demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills
• Maroon, wine, or burgundy scrubs are required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
