Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level IV Labor & Delivery position in Austin, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of high-volume L&D experience and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit at a Level IV designated maternal facility in Austin, TX
- Unit includes 20 LDR suites, 4 C-section suites, 10 triage rooms, 51 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms, and 14 monitored antepartum beds
- High-risk, fast-paced environment performing 500+ deliveries per month with 24-hour in-house attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage
- Academic teaching service alongside large private OB practices with an active Perinatal Transport Program
- Facility is expanding mid-2026 with a new Women's Tower
- Day shift: 06:45–19:15
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license recognized in Texas required
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NRP (AAP)
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service required
- ASN from an accredited nursing program required
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
- Driver's License required for consideration
- Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide high-risk labor and delivery nursing care in a fast-paced, high-volume academic and private OB setting
- COVID vaccination is not required
- Local candidates are accepted, though a radius rule applies and may affect the pay rate — contact your recruiter for details
- Preferred: 3–5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume setting
- Preferred certifications: S.T.A.B.L.E. Program and Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
