Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU/Stepdown position requiring ICU experience, with floating responsibilities across multiple units on night shift.

Details

• 21-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown) in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes NSTEMIs, post-cardiac cath with intervention, vascular surgery (fem-pop, CEA), CIWA patients receiving IVP Ativan, peritoneal dialysis, stable BiPAP, heated high-flow O2 (<80%), home ventilators (Trilogy), and wound care
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Non-titrating drips administered including Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, Lopressor, and Cardene
• HD performed in the Dialysis Department (not at bedside)
• EMR: Meditech
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating required across Stepdown, ICU, and Med-Surg units

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• ICU experience required in addition to PCU/Stepdown experience
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility

Additional Information

• Orientation is held every Wednesday
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
