Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down Unit position requiring ICU experience and the ability to float across multiple units in a hospital setting.

Details

• 21-bed Step-Down Unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes NSTEMIs, post-cardiac cath with intervention, vascular surgery (fem-pop, CEA), CIWA with IVP Ativan, peritoneal dialysis, stable BiPAP, heated high-flow oxygen (<80%), home ventilators (Trilogy), and wound care
• Non-titrating drips in use, including Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, Lopressor, and Cardene
• Patient ratio of 1:4–5
• Floating required across Step-Down, ICU, and Med-Surg units
• EMR: Meditech
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Orientation held every Wednesday

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• ICU experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Two references required for consideration
• PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Hemodialysis is performed in a separate Dialysis Department (not on unit)
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
