Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Long-Term Care (LTC) position at a skilled nursing facility in Brunswick, ME, requiring a ME or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting with a 42-bed unit
• Patient population includes LTC residents and post-surgical patients (CABG, orthopedic, respiratory — no vents)
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call requirement: 1 weekend per month (Friday 3:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM)
• Equipment used includes IV, EKG, and bladder scanner
• EMR systems: Epic and American Data
• Float requirement: up to 25 miles between facilities as needed
• 11-week contract

Requirements

• Active ME RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Skilled nursing assessment experience required
• IV experience preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to LTC and post-surgical patients in a SNF environment
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (ME or NH residents) are considered local and subject to a different bill rate
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this at time of consideration
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; tee shirts, tight clothing, and attire with logos or writing are not permitted
• Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones on the unit is prohibited
