Description
American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 12-week travel contract at a hospital and trauma center in Janesville, WI, working day shifts Thursday through Saturday with call rotation.
Details
- Acute care hospital and trauma center setting
- MRI department performing diagnostic imaging procedures
- 12-hour day shifts, Thursday through Saturday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Call rotation required
- Flexible hours and alternate shifts may be required to support department needs
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program (education verification required)
- Experience as an MRI Technologist required
- Current ARRT(R) and ARRT(MRI) certifications required
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, providing instruction to ensure cooperation and minimize anxiety
- Apply MRI safety principles to minimize risk to patient, self, and others
- Select and operate MR systems, surface coils, physiologic gating devices, and associated equipment per established protocols
- Perform venipuncture, start and maintain venous access, and prepare and administer contrast media
- Evaluate images and data for technical quality, manipulate and reconstruct digital data for display
- Use radiology information systems including PACS, complete required records and reports, and archive and submit images for physician review
- Assist physicians with interventional procedures and practice aseptic technique with universal precautions
- Works as part of a multidisciplinary team, including participation on committees and projects as requested
