Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ER Float to Acute Care position at a Critical Access Hospital, requiring TNCC, trauma experience, and prior CAH ED background.

Details

• Works in the Emergency Room with float responsibilities to Acute Care (Med Surg) as needed
• Critical Access Hospital (CAH) setting — a small facility where staff are expected to take on multiple roles
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
• 36 hours per week
• Required to work every 3rd weekend
• 13-week contract
• Charting via Allscripts EMR
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips

Requirements

• Active NE or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior trauma experience and CAH Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• BSN not required
• Allscripts EMR experience preferred
• Must be able to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain positive rapport with providers required

Additional Information

• RN will float between the ER and Acute Care unit based on facility needs — flexibility and a willingness to wear multiple hats is essential
• Scrubs of any color or design are acceptable
• No orientation hours specified — candidates should be prepared to hit the ground running
