Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ER Float to Acute Care position at a Critical Access Hospital, requiring TNCC, trauma experience, and prior CAH ED background.
Details
- Works in the Emergency Room with float responsibilities to Acute Care (Med Surg) as needed
- Critical Access Hospital (CAH) setting — a small facility where staff are expected to take on multiple roles
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
- 36 hours per week
- Required to work every 3rd weekend
- 13-week contract
- Charting via Allscripts EMR
- Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips
Requirements
- Active NE or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Prior trauma experience and CAH Emergency Department experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
- BSN not required
- Allscripts EMR experience preferred
- Must be able to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently
- Strong communication skills and ability to maintain positive rapport with providers required
Additional Information
- RN will float between the ER and Acute Care unit based on facility needs — flexibility and a willingness to wear multiple hats is essential
- Scrubs of any color or design are acceptable
- No orientation hours specified — candidates should be prepared to hit the ground running
