Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Stepdown/Intermediate Care unit at a hospital in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a valid KS or compact RN license.

Details

• 36-bed general surgery and trauma unit operating as a Stepdown/Intermediate Care setting
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract with holiday commitment required
• EMR: Cerner OneChart

Requirements

• Active KS RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA-issued)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• MOAB De-Escalation Training required
• Valid US Social Security Number and US home address required
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to general surgery and trauma patients in a stepdown/intermediate care environment
• Ceil blue scrubs required
• Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be eligible only at a reduced pay rate
• COVID vaccination is not required
