Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift travel assignment at a Critical Access/Level III Trauma Center, with 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency required.

Details

  • Critical Access Hospital and Level III Trauma Center setting with 25 staffed beds
  • RRT unit with floating required between units based on facility needs
  • Primarily adult patient population; pediatric patients are seen through the ED but are not typically admitted outside of the ED
  • Low volume of critical cases, with most care being standardized
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00
  • Weekends required, with most shifts falling on weekend nights
  • Block scheduling required
  • 1 RRT on per shift
  • Charting via Epic (experience required)
  • No on-call required

Requirements

  • Active RRT license (license required if applicable)
  • Minimum 2 years of RRT experience
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NRP
  • PALS is strongly recommended but not required
  • Epic EMR proficiency required
  • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • First-time travelers are considered for this position

Additional Information

  • Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Minimal RTO is expected for this position
  • Scrubs in any color are acceptable; scrubs are provided for OR, Critical Care, ED, and Maternal Child units
  • No parking fee at this facility
  • A teaching hospital environment
