Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Tech with 2+ years of experience in interventional cardiology/radiology for a 13-week travel contract at a Level III trauma teaching hospital in Kennewick, WA.

- Located at a 111-bed Level III trauma teaching hospital in Kennewick, WA serving the Tri-Cities area
- Assignment in a 1st floor Cardiac Cath Lab with 2 procedure rooms
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- 3-person team per case
- Cases include cardiovascular and peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Primary role is scrubbing; monitoring experience preferred
- Equipment includes Philips/McKesson-Change Healthcare Hemo and Maquet
- EHR: Paragon (hospital); McKesson-Change Healthcare (hemodynamic)
- 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 7 shifts per 2-week pay period with standby included
- Variable on-call weekend hours required
- No floating required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- RT or CVIS certification, or RCIS eligibility for CVIS license in WA required
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS required
- Associate's degree minimum required
- Proficiency in scrub role required; monitoring role experience preferred
- Experience with CV/PV diagnostic and interventional procedures
- License required if applicable
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform cardiovascular and peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures in a scrub role
- Teaching hospital environment; outgoing, adaptable, team-oriented candidates preferred
- Green scrubs are provided by the facility
- Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible

This Cath Lab is only travelers at the moment and has locum doctors on rotation. Some days are very slow but there is also a couple IR doctors who does some easy procedures.
Cons
On call is currently 7 consecutive days on then you get 4 days off before going back on due to number of staff present.
