Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a 111-bed teaching hospital in Kennewick, WA, requiring 2+ years of experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Work setting is a Birth Center Labor & Delivery unit within a 111-bed acute care teaching hospital serving the Tri-Cities area of southeastern Washington
• Unit includes 6 labor rooms, 11 mother/baby rooms, and 3 triage beds with a volume of approximately 110 deliveries per month
• Patient population is adult obstetric patients with common cases including labor and delivery
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
• EHR systems used are Centricity and Paragon
• Night shift position, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement is 48 hours per month
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to Mother/Baby unit
• Block schedules are not permitted

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring — AHA-issued certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience required
• OR scrub circulation, mother/baby, and triage experience are preferred but not required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates and eligibility

Additional Information

• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Scrub color requirement is blue or blue/green
• The Tri-Cities region offers 25 square miles of recreational landscape, 27 public parks, 3 golf courses, and is located in the heart of Washington Wine Country — approximately 3 hours from Seattle and Portland and 2 hours from Spokane
• Direct flights are available from Tri-Cities Airport to 10 major U.S. hubs
