Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a MS/Tele position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of experience and prior travel assignment completion.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting within a Level I Trauma Center
• Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit
• Team nursing model with a ratio of 1:12, split between 2 RNs, an LPN, a med nurse, and a virtual nurse
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, with 36- or 48-hour weekly options (4x12-hour shifts)
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend work required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered
• RNs may be floated between like units and campuses within 20 miles of each other
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Tennessee or a valid Compact (NLC) license — no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required (3+ years preferred)
• ADN or higher required for this position
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• At least one completed prior travel nursing assignment required — first-time travelers are not eligible
• Driver's License required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO requests submitted after an offer is made will not be considered
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return
