Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and adult care experience for a night shift position at a hospital in the Manatee County, FL area.

Details

• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• 40 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• NICU and adult care patient population
• Dräger ventilators used — experience required
• Cerner EMR used — experience required

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required — CRT candidates will not be considered
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a US hospital respiratory therapy setting
• NICU and adult care experience required
• Dräger ventilator experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (AHA-issued only)
• Active, unrestricted license required — no pending licenses accepted (license required if applicable)
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Candidate must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Responsibilities include diagnostic evaluation, management, education, and rehabilitation of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities
• Duties encompass obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, and performing cardiopulmonary tests and studies
• Clinical responsibilities include application of medical gases, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, respiratory pharmacology, and hemodynamic cardiovascular support
• Certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
